At Micro Focus, behaving responsibly as an organization, both internally for our employees and externally within the marketplace, communities, and environment is a fundamental principle for our operations around the globe. It is also a key factor for customers when choosing their business partners.
We bring these initiatives together through Micro Focus INSPIRE, our company-wide environmental, social and governance (ESG) program. It covers every aspect of the organization, from how we manage relationships with employees, suppliers, customers and local communities; to how we play our part in shifting to a lower carbon economy and reducing the effects of climate change.
ESG is deeply embedded into our business. Our ESG Committee comprises non-executive members – Pauline Campbell (who serves as its chair), Amanda Brown and Lawton Fitt – plus two members of the management team – Susan Ferguson (Chief Human Resources Officer & SVP Business Operations) and Suzanne Chase (Group Company Secretary and Head of Assurance).
The ESG Working Group is chaired by the Director of ESG and reports directly into the Environmental Social and Governance Committee (ESGC), which is sponsored at the Executive level by the Chief Executive Officer. The role of the ESG Working Group is to execute and implement the Group’s ESG strategy, activities and disclosures, in the context of the Group’s overall strategy. Consisting of various functional representatives, it helps ensure that the ESG strategy is embedded into business operations across the Group with a specific focus on diversity and inclusion, and environmental.
An environmental sub group focuses specifically on the company’s environmental strategy, ensuring compliance and meeting our commitment to transition a low carbon business.
At Micro Focus, we are committed to actions that support diversity and inclusion (D&I) in everything we do. We believe in the power of a diverse and inclusive workforce that reflects the many aspects of the customers, suppliers, and communities we serve around the world, and promotes equal opportunity for all.
Micro Focus has an ISS QualityScore rating of “1” in ISS ESG's Social category, the highest social rating.
