The Global Real Estate team in collaboration with their facilities partner, ISS, celebrated World Clean Up Day 2022, a campaign designed to unite millions of volunteers, governments, and organisations in 191 countries to tackle the global waste problem.
Across our operating locations in India, 76 volunteers spent a combined 126 hours clearing a 1.5km stretch of road, rejuvenating an estimated 75 trees, restoring storm water outlets connected to lakes, painting 64,583.46 square feet of fencing, cleaning public spaces such as bus stops, and more.
Ramashetty Biradar, Regional Manager at Micro Focus commented: "Nature is very close to me, and I always look for an opportunity to give back whenever I can. I joined World Clean Up Day to make a difference to the community where we operate and showcase our commitment towards community wellbeing. It is evident the amount of work completed is phenomenal - this ultimately gave me utmost pleasure and satisfaction."
As part of Micro Focus INSPIRE, our companywide Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) program, all employees receive four days a year to volunteer to give back and make a difference.
